Are you the main carer for a loved one? Do you need a break to get away? Then we can help! We can come and look after your loved one whilst you get away for some much-needed rest. Time to yourself to recharge your batteries. Whether that is for a couple of days or a week, we can provide the care your loved one would need. That can be from us popping in throughout the day to live in care where we stay for the duration of your break!
We All Need A Rest
We know that sometimes it is hard to ask for help when you are used to doing everything for your loved one by yourself. But sometimes a break is exactly what you need to recharge your batteries and come back feeling refreshed and ready to go. If you keep going and going you will become exhausted or maybe even unwell yourself, then what would you do!? We are not saying you need a break every month, it could be every 3 months, even longer depending on your individual situation. But you cannot deal with caring for a loved one 24/7 365 days a year without having some time out just for you.
What We Can Provide
What we would provide would depend on your individual situation. It may be that you have another family member/friend come and stay and we may have to pop in throughout the day to help with small tasks. It could be that you need us to sit with your loved one all day whilst your family member/friend is at work, or it might even be that there is no one else to stay with your loved one so you would like us to live in for the duration of your break so that your loved one does not need to go into a respite care facility. We know how disrupting it can be to an individual to be moved from their familiar surrounds and routines when you need a break!
